We explored using KILZ Basement and Masonry Waterproofing Paint in our challenging damp basement environment. Addressing that persistent moisture wasn’t just about aesthetics; it was crucial for drying the concrete and ensuring the space remained usable year-round. The product’s ability to function effectively as both interior and exterior grade was particularly appealing given some underlying masonry in contact with the elements.

Applying the white paint felt straightforward, and upon review, we found it successfully sealed the surfaces against water intrusion according to the manufacturer’s specifications. It covers well, offering a durable barrier in a notoriously tough area like the basement. While a one-gallon can tackles a specific job, we can confidently suggest its performance if applied correctly – a true contender for reliable basement waterproofing against the constant threat of dampness and potential mold.
